How long have you been photographing weddings?
My first wedding was 8/8/88 (easy to remember!). Several years later, it not only became my passion, but my career as well. I have seen and experienced so many unique weddings, with different religious backgrounds, nationalities and, of course, personalities. For me, weddings are constantly exciting because of this wonderful diversity.
What happens if you get sick?
I am a member of P.P.A. and P.M.P.A., associations of tightly networked groups of photographers, who back each other up when necessary. Throughout my career, I have never missed a wedding, however I have covered weddings for other photographers. Fortunately I have youth and health on my side, and I also take extra caution in hobby choices. For example, I've chosen not to skydive on a weekly basis!
What's the guarantee your camera will not breakdown?
My camera equipment has been carefully selected; Hasselblad is the number one choice in the wedding industry. But since nothing is guaranteed 100%, I do have a complete back-up system that I bring with me to every event.
Do you have an assistant?
Assistants can be very helpful. I bring an assistant to weddings when needed, for example, if there will be a lot of movement. Also, if you decide on a large package, an assistant is usually needed. I am always happy to discuss this with my clients, and together we can decide if an assistant is needed.
What do you wear to weddings?
Embarrassingly enough, I wear practically the same thing every time! It's professional, comfortable and functional - Black slacks, black shoes, black vest with deep pockets (don't worry - not a fisherman's vest), and a snazzy shirt that differs depending on the time of year. I also find this to be a great outfit for not drawing attention to myself!
When should we book you?
There's a very simple answer to this question - as soon as possible. When you decide that I'm the right choice for you, to ensure I'll still be available, call right away!
